What was your path/journey after you graduated from Cornell?

Upon graduation, I attended law school at the University of Detroit Mercy and received an MBA from Brown University/IE Business School in Madrid. I worked in private practice for several years, then served as Deputy Chief Legal Officer for the Cleveland Clinic, Chief Legal Officer for Henry Ford Health, and now Chief Administrative Officer for CommonSpirit Health, a $40 billion non-profit health system, headquartered in Chicago.

I serve on the boards of the McGregor Fund, Adventist Health, Conifer, and the American Arbitration Association. My husband and I have been married for 21 years and lived in three states - Michigan, Texas and Ohio. We are the proud parents of two children - Kennedy (20) and Obafemi (17). As a family, we love to travel and have done so extensively across Europe and Africa. Several years ago, we invested in the development of a school in Benin, which today my husband leads.

What is your favorite Class at Cornell? In retrospect, what has proven to be your most useful class from Cornell?

My favorite class was Talmudic law. My most useful classes were offered through Africana Studies in large part because of the psycho-social development created through the learning experiences.

What is your favorite memory from your time at Cornell?

The times when well known restaurateurs would host dinner in the dining halls!

Which Cornell classmates do you keep in contact with?

All of my sorority sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, especially Kosha Brightwell Massal and Patricia Louison Grant.
